Check before you order
- ANDREW lists this as a non-standard product, so expect a longer lead time and quote-only ordering. Ask for the lead time before you set the schedule.
- Mounting is listed as 'Roofs', not 'Non-penetrating'. A roof entry means an opening and a curb that the roofing contractor of record has to make and flash, or the roof warranty is at risk.
- At 230 lb it's the heaviest single piece in the line. Plan the lift.
Install notes for this part
- The hood covers the cable entry into the building. The opening, curb and flashing are roofing work, and the roofing contractor of record should do them so the roof warranty survives.
- If the roof assembly is fire-rated, the penetration needs a listed firestop system.
- Bond the coax shields at the building entry per the site grounding standard (see grounding).
